To mark the 30th anniversary of Dean’s passing; his mother Joan, along with assistance from Kiama Public School, Council and the local community, have now refurbished his memorial.
What Was Done:
- A new piece of Basalt rock was supplied, cut and fitted by Kiama Municipal Council;
- The original plaque was then re-engraved by Mr. Ray Thorburn and polished by Mr. Igor Vaseo;
- A donation to assist in the refurbishment of ‘Blair Grove’ was provided by Kiama Rotary Club, and;
- The BLAIR GROVE sign was re-painted blue by the Maintenance Dept of Kiama Public School.
Dean’s mother Joan would sincerely like to thank everyone for their contribution and support, both then and now.
Special thanks also goes to Mr. Les Davey who was the driving force behind this whole refurbishment.
